|Title:||Putting Your Garden to Bed|
|Location:||Freedom Town Hall|
|Description:||Freedom Friends of the Library presents Guest Speaker Roz Mason, with her program “Putting Your Gardens to Bed”, Tuesday, October 10th at 7 PM, at the Freedom Town Hall. This program is part of the UNH Cooperative Extension's Master Gardener series.
Fall is a season for enjoying the brightly colored leaves and crisp autumn air, but it is also a time for gardeners to put their gardens to bed for the winter. This presentation will focus on steps that can be taken to enhance plant safety over the winter months and promote productive vegetable gardens and bountiful blossoming flower beds during the next growing season.
Roz Mason is a retired pastor who moved to New Hampshire from Pennsylvania in 2013. She is an avid gardener with special interests in raising vegetables in elevated beds and watering using a wicking system. She became a Master Gardener in 2015 and volunteers her time with the UNH Cooperative Extension by answering questions for home gardeners in the Education Center and speaking on a variety of gardening topics for community groups and organizations in New Hampshire.
This program is offered free to the public by the Friends of the Library. Light refreshments will be served. For more information 539-5176.
