Drama Workshop

For students entering grades 5-12

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to attend a drama workshop this summer at the Freedom Public Library from 10:00 – 11:30am on Wednesdays, July 3 – August 7.

Previous dramatic experience is not necessary, and you do not need to be able to attend every session in order to participate.

The emphasis will be on each participant developing their own dramatic voice, presence and theater skills. We will play theater games and improvise material about things that are important to us. We may write skits, songs and stories as part of our explorations. Those who wish may perform at the Talent Show during Freedom Old Home Week, August 9.

The workshop will be led by local performer Beverly Woods, who is eager to share the gifts of dramatic space with students this summer.  “I’m looking forward to this workshop - we’re going to have a blast!”

Dungeons & Dragons

Cancelled for this season

Unfortunately, there just haven't been enough people attending to keep the campaign going, so D&D is officially cancelled, at least for the time being. If you want to start the campaign up again at some point, let Chris know, and we'll see what we can do!

Dungeons & Dragons is a fantasy role-playing game where you create a mighty hero to go on adventures and gain renown. If you're looking for an exciting way to vanquish the evil winter blahs, this could be just the activity for you.

We use the 5th edition of Dungeons & Dragons, and have rulebooks on-hand for all your dungeoneering needs!
