Library of Seeds Unveiling & Newspaper Seed Starter Pot Making

March 5 @ 5:00 PM

Spring and Summer are right around the corner!

Are you ready to get your hands in the dirt?

To prepare for this year’s summer reading program, “Plant a Seed and Read,” we have started a seed catalog for library card holders to borrow…you guessed it…seeds! We have vegetable, herb, and flower seeds for you to plant at home.

Join Amanda to learn about the seed library and to make newspaper pots to start your seeds this spring.

All ages are welcome!

How will seeds circulate from the FPL?

  1. Stop by the library ask to see the seed catalog.
  2. Seeds will be arranged in alphabetical order, veggies on one side, herbs and flowers on the other. Take only what you need!
  3. Jot down what you took in the log next to the seed library.

Optional step: once you’ve planted and harvested your bounty, consider saving seeds to return to the library to replenish the seeds you borrowed.
